Responsible Sourcing of Minerals Policy
ASPINA is seriously concerned extracting, trading, handling and exporting minerals from conflict-affected and high-risk areas such as the Democratic Republic of Congo and the adjoining countries could finance non-state armed groups and contribute, exacerbate conflicts, gross human rights violations, forced or compulsory labour, money-laundering, environmental harm.
Accordingly, it has been ASPINA's policy to refrain from purchasing or using any so called "conflict minerals (3TG)" (e.g. tantalum, tin, tungsten and gold) sourced from such areas and make the appropriate investigations within our supply chain in accordance with “OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas”. At the same time, we strongly request all our business partners to implement responsible mineral sourcing practices and to refrain from using any minerals that may be linked to human rights violations, conflicts, or environmental degradation.
