Globally, population aging and the increasing prevalence of chronic diseases, such as lifestyle-related and respiratory diseases, have become major social challenges. As a result, the medical device market continues to expand year by year. Leveraging our expertise as a motor manufacturer, ASPINA optimizes blower structures to contribute to the miniaturization of medical devices and improved patient comfort. ASPINA is currently expanding its blower product lineup, including the development of mini blowers focused on compactness and blowers utilizing flame-retardant materials.
- Compact footprint
- By designing the motor and fan as an integrated system in-house, ASPINA achieves both high efficiency and a compact footprint. The compact size of the blower not only enables smaller medical devices but provides greater design flexibility for value-added features, such as advanced noise insulation and onboard battery integration, improving usability for end users and facilitating bedside installation.
- High static pressure
- Respiratory medical devices require blowers capable of delivering high pressure and airflow to supply patients with the necessary volume of air. In particular, the 10 kPa model achieves a maximum pressure of 11.3 kPa and a maximum airflow of 300 L/min.
- Quiet operation
- ASPINA focuses on reducing overall noise levels while also minimizing tonal and high-frequency noise that may affect patient comfort. To achieve this, ASPINA conducts repeated feedback testing in actual medical device configurations and performs in-house acoustic analysis to identify and mitigate problematic frequencies.
- Fast response to patient breathing
- Rapid motor-speed control enables the blower to respond quickly to changes in the patient's breathing pattern. This enables precise control of airflow and pressure, helping improve patient-ventilator synchrony.
- Reliable and safe design
- Our blowers are designed to support compliance with ISO 18562-1, -2, and -3 (2017) and ISO 10993-5 biological evaluation requirements for medical devices. ASPINA plans to obtain ISO 13485 certification for the 5 kPa blower and is currently preparing for the external audit.
- Customization and integration support
- In addition to standalone blower products, ASPINA provides design, development, and manufacturing services for integrated modules that combine blowers with airflow paths, noise reduction features, and other application-specific components.
